Griff's Biography

""GRIFF" is from EARTH (small Planet inThe Milky Way) …Maybe you’ve heard of it??  But since everyone might not get that, he’s a native of California who now resides in Atlanta, GA.  “GRIFF” has wanted to be a comedian since he was three years old where his mother use to set up the Seniors in The Convalescent Homes where she worked, in an audience type setting and let her son make sleeping and comatose old people laugh.  So after working the Geriatric Circuit for a couple of summers his destiny was settled.  Since then, that little funny boy with the faith of a PLANET(mustard seeds are so cliché) has made a name for himself as one of the leading comedians and On-Air Personalities in the Country by headlining across North America (including Canada), New Zealand and Africa.

Opening up for major acts such as The KINGS and QUEENS of comedy, New Edition, Dottie Peoples, Najee, Donnie McClurkin, D.L. Hughley, Bishop Eddie L. Long, Pastor Jesse Curney III, Jeff Majors, Mary Mary and more has solidified this young mans Ordered Steps.  Because of his love for comedy and sports, "GRIFF" landed the job as Sports Director and Co-Host of the Frank-Ski morning show, WVEE V-103FM in Atlanta from November 1998 - November 2001. His wit and unsurpassed knowledge for Atlanta's sports news. "GRIFF" took sports to the 'next level' with his comedic twist on athletes and their stories.  In 1999 he recieved The Sportscaster of the Year Award and in 2004 “Street Skillz”, a program he provided the color commentary for and was nominated for an EMMY.

After finding out that Radio will give you MANY opportunities to work (…nice sentence for being Laid Off) "GRIFF" was picked out of thousands to host the Nationally syndicated TV Show THUNDERBOX.(FOX SPORTS). THUNDERBOX in essence is hip-hop meets real boxing with a storyline compared to that of the WWE! With his natural love of the cameras, sports and music....he was the obvious choice.  Through DONE DEAL ENTERTAINMENT, "GRIFF" has many upcoming projects. These projects include DONE DEAL SPORTS (Radio/TV), Too Funny Tuesdays and JOKES & NOTES both are live Shows performed and produced in Atlanta, GA each week.  “GRIFF” has appeared on B.E.T.’s COMIC VIEW four times, THE BIG BLACK COMEDY SHOW for SHOWTIME, The 1st Amendment COMEDY SHOW which aired on the STARS and most recently B.E.T.’s “A TIME TO LAUGH” Hosted by Vickie Winans.

“GRIFF” returned to radio in Atlanta in 2005 on Radio One’s HOT 107.9.  The “A-Team Morning Shows” theme was all about Atlanta!  Rashan Ali, Emperor Searcy and GRIFFY2K were the culmination of entertainment and information with an incredible spice of comedy!  After three and a half years of hard work, the crew gained tremendous audience among 18-34 year-old men and women in the market.  (another nice paragraph for ‘laid off.’)

Never too busy to volunteer for his community, his love for the young misguided youth of America prompted him to start Positive Vibes 14 years ago. Positive Vibes is a non-profit mentoring program that takes his encouraging life story straight to the kids, through schools, libraries, churches, YMCA's, Boys and Girls clubs and Youth Detention Centers Nationwide. Being a devoted father to his 5 children, he realizes the need and importance of male figures in young children’s' lives.

Ultimately, "GRIFF" is a Comedian, an Air-Personality, a Sports Reporter, an Actor, a Motivational Speaker, a Daddy, an EMMY nominated Sportscaster and a man who puts JESUS CHRIST ahead of everything all wrapped into one!..... And if that’s not enough of a BIO …let us see yours!!!  Stay Blessed
